It is amazing to think that however many years ago someone invented the game of football and that as time has passed more and more people have played the game. Many love the game and it can unite people. In the war there was the famous football match, for example and people from different countries and many different walks of life can share their common interest in the game. On the other hand there are those who use their alleged love of football as an excuse to be violent either at the matches or back at home. There are still others who have no interest in football and resent the hours of TV devoted to it.
I like football. I particularly enjoy watching it with my son. I can get quite carried away when the team I am supporting score a goal.
I hope England do well in their match and are able to cope with the humid conditions and rather dodgy looking pitch!
