How will you be spending your New Year's Eve?
Over the years I have done a lot of different things and been to a lot of different places to bring in the New Year.
One of my favourite things to do has been to watch Jools Holland and all the musicians celebrating. This can be done sitting with friends, family, complete strangers or on your own.
Many people believe it is 'just another evening' and in many ways they are right. I don't see the point in being involved in a big party if that is not the kind of thing you enjoy and there are many other days and occasions you may prefer to celebrate.
Other people see the evening as 'out with the old and in with the new' and it provides them with an opportunity to make a fresh start.
I use the end of one year and the start of another to reflect on the things that are truly important to me and to think about my goals, wishes and hopes for the future.
